There are 14 commercial grades of this pigment. ε-crystalline CuPc has the strongest red light among all copper phthalocyanine varieties and has a purer and more vivid red blue color than C.I. Pigment Blue 60, which is mainly used in coatings, printing inks, plastic coloring and functional pigments for photoelectric conductivity. Based on the fact that in baked coatings contain aromatic paths, which lead to a shift from α- to β-types during dispersion and present a stronger green light, a more stable red blue ε-crystalline type for solvents and heating processes is required, only because this pigment crystal is expensive, the required red blue color is usually obtained by color matching α-type CuPc with a small amount (P.V.23).
