Superiority
Flash brown-red crystal or powder. Soluble in water with yellowish orange color, soluble in ethanol and ethylene glycol ether, slightly soluble in acetone, insoluble in benzene. Melting point 118-118.5℃. Yellow in strong sulfuric acid, orange in dilute sulfuric acid; solution of orange in nitric acid. Sodium hydroxide dye solution produces brown-red precipitate. Dye tannin mordant in cotton fiber is yellow-orange, in tungsten wire color is brighter.
