Superiority
Gray-blue powder. Aqueous solution is purple-black, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid produces brown-black precipitate; adding concentrated alkali solution is dark bluish red. In concentrated sulfuric acid is purple-black, diluted to produce black-brown precipitate; in concentrated nitric acid is red-brown solution, and precipitation. When stained with copper and iron ions, the color and light change slightly.
