This pigment variety is sometimes listed as C.I. Pigment Violet 29 in the Dyestuff Index, giving a red to date red color with excellent light and weather fastness; only the color is darker and reddish brown, while the natural color is brown or even black. It is mainly used in metal decorative paints, its high thermal stability makes it used for coloring plastics processed at high temperatures, and also for coloring polyester fiber spinning (290℃), with light fastness (1/3, 1/9SD) up to 7-8 grade.
