Polyaluminum chloride, PAC for short, is a kind of inorganic polymer coagulant. It is a kind of inorganic polymer water treatment agent with high molecular weight and high charge, which is produced by the bridging action of hydroxide ion and the polymerization of polyvalent anion. Solid products have the advantages of high adsorption activity, short time to clear sediment, wide pH value range, no coagulant and not affected by water temperature, etc., widely used in domestic water, industrial water and other water purification treatment, urban sewage treatment, industrial wastewater, sewage, sludge treatment and some slag recovery in sewage, and at the same time for some difficult to treat industrial sewage. Application: 

Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is widely used. In water treatment, it's a highly effective coagulant. PAC helps clump together suspended particles like dirt, algae, and organic matter, facilitating their removal and producing clear, potable water. In the paper industry, it serves as a sizing agent and retention aid. It improves paper strength, and helps retain fillers and fine fibers during the papermaking process. In the textile industry, PAC is used for dye fixation, enhancing the color fastness of dyed fabrics. In the oil - field, it can be applied in wastewater treatment systems to separate oil from water. However, when handling PAC, protective gear should be worn as it may cause skin and eye irritation, and it should be stored in a dry place to avoid caking and maintain its effectiveness.
