Product Description:
Triethanolamine is mainly used in the manufacture of surfactants, liquid detergents, cosmetics and so on. It is one of the components of cutting fluid and antifreeze. It is used as an activator in the polymerization of nitrile rubber, vulcanization activator of natural rubber and synthetic rubber. It can also be used as emulsifier of oil, wax, pesticide, humidifier and stabilizer of cosmetics, softener of textile, anti-corrosion additive of lubricating oil. Triethanolamine can absorb gases such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, and in the purification of industrial gases such as coke oven gas, acidic gases can be removed. It is a masking agent commonly used in EDTA titration.

Application: 

Used as a cleaning solution to remove carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide from gases. Esters formed from triethanolamine and higher fatty acids are widely used as detergents, emulsifiers, wetting agents and lubricants, and are also used in the preparation of cosmetic balms. Triethanolamine is also used as a preservative and water repellent, analytical reagent and solvent. As an activator in the polymerization of nitrile rubber, it can also be used as an emulsifier and stabilizer for oils and waxes and a softener for textiles under acidic conditions. It is one of the components of synthetic fiber spinning oil such as tapefibre.
