There are 128 kinds of commercial grades of this pigment. β-type quinacridone gives red purple color, similar to tetrachlorosulfur indigo (P.R.88), excellent light and heat resistance stability; it is used in high-grade industrial coatings, and can be used for coloring with inorganic pigments such as iron oxide red, molybdenum red, etc. Transparent type can be used in metal decorative paints; it can also be used for coloring plastics such as PVC and PUR, and can withstand 300℃ in polyolefin. γ-type Light fastness is slightly lower than β-type, but has higher transparency; coarse grain size γ-type has excellent light fastness, suitable for outdoor paint coloring; can be used for high-grade metal decorative printing ink, and P.R.122 spell out close to the standard magenta tone, printing specimens with light fastness 6-7, heat resistant 190℃/10min, used for laminated plastic film and PP stock coloring, etc.
