1-Amino-2-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid is soluble in hot sodium bisulfite and alkaline solutions, insoluble in cold ethanol, ether, benzene, and slightly soluble in water. Turning pink in the air.

Application:

1. Intermediate of acidic media dyes and acidic complex dyes. Used for manufacturing acidic complex peach red B, acidic medium black R, acidic complex salt GGN, acidic medium red BN, etc.
