Vinyltris(methylethylketoxime)silane is an organosilicon compound with remarkable characteristics. This allows it to participate in polymerization reactions, opening up possibilities for copolymerization with other vinyl-containing monomers. Alongside, the three methylethylketoxime groups bound to the silicon are highly reactive in the presence of moisture. They can hydrolyze to form silanol groups, which then have the potential to react with a variety of substrates, creating strong chemical bonds. Physically, it usually presents as a clear to slightly yellow liquid with a mild, characteristic odor.
