Superiority

Brownish-red powder, easily soluble in hot water, dissolved in 10 parts of cold water, the solution is yellowish-red; dissolved in ethanol is orange; very slightly soluble in acetone, almost insoluble in ether. Soluble in ethanol is orange, slightly soluble in acetone. In concentrated sulfuric acid is dark blue, diluted light blue with blue pinpoint precipitation. Its aqueous solution plus concentrated hydrochloric acid to generate a play blue precipitate; plus acetic acid to generate a bluish purple to reddish blue precipitate. Not dissolved in concentrated caustic soda. Sensitive to acids and salts, even if carbon dioxide is absorbed from the air, it will make the color become blue and dark, but the original color can be restored with dilute soda ash. Usage
