Thiodicarb has extremely high ovicidal activity, which is manifested in three aspects:
1.Contacting unhatched eggs with medicinal liquid can prevent the eggs from hatching or the larvae will die before the second instar after hatching;
2.Eggs laid within 3 days after spraying cannot hatch or cannot complete their young development;
3.When the eggs hatch and come out of the shell, they can effectively kill the newly hatched larvae by chewing the egg membrane. Due to the introduction of thioether bonds into the structure of Lavein, it also has high insecticidal activity against resistant pest strains that use oxidative metabolism as the detoxification mechanism.

Application: 

The insecticidal activity is similar to that of methomyl, and its toxicity is lower than that of methomyl. It is a carbamoyl oxime insecticide and a cholinesterase inhibitor. Treating many crops with foliage spray and seeds has certain contact and stomach poisoning effects.

It is effective against the main Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera pests, and also has high activity against Lepidoptera eggs and adults. Slight phytotoxicity to some varieties of sorghum and cotton.
