The chemical formula of Naphthyloxyacetic acid (BNOA) is C12H10O3, and its molecular structure contains a naphthalene ring and an acetic acid group. It is a white to pale yellow crystalline solid at room temperature, insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and methanol.

Application: 

1. Promote growth and rooting. Naphthoxyacetic acid (BNOA) can be treated with diluents of different concentrations to promote rooting of plant cuttings or transplants. For example, roses can be soaked in 100 mg/L naphthoxyacetic acid (BNOA) dilution to promote rooting of cuttings.

2. Preserve flowers and fruits: For example, spraying apple trees with 20-40 mg/kg naphthoxyacetic acid (BNOA) can preserve flowers and fruits and reduce the effect of falling flowers and fruits.

3. Promote rooting and strengthen seedlings: When Naphthoxyacetic acid (BNOA) is used in combination with some amino acids, alginic acid, humic acid and other fertilizers, it often promotes rooting and strengthens seedlings through root irrigation and foliar spraying. The effect of promoting growth is more obvious, and it can avoid the side effect of forming a weak root system by long-term use of naphthoxyacetic acid (BNOA), making the root system thick and the seedlings grow well.
