Product Description:

Sodium sulfide is soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water, when dissolved in water, almost all hydrolyzed to sodium hydroxide and sodium hydrosulfide, the aqueous solution is strongly alkaline, corrosive to copper, wood, skin and so on. Slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether. In the air deliquescence, easy to oxidize to generate sodium thiosulfate, so it is very widely used.

Application:

1. Used in dyestuff industry for the production of sulfide dyestuff, it is the raw material of sulfide green and sulfide blue.
2. It is used as a dyeing aid to dissolve sulfide dyes in printing and dyeing industry.
3. Used in the tanning industry for hydrolysis to make the rawhide dehairing, but also used to formulate sodium polysulfide to accelerate the dry leather immersion to help soften.
4. Used as cooking agent for paper in papermaking industry.
5. Textile industry for man-made fiber denitrification and nitrate reduction, as well as cotton fabric dyeing mordant.
