Product Description:
Padimate, also known as ethyl 4 - (dimethylamino)benzoate, is commonly a liquid at room temperature. Structurally, it features an ethyl ester group attached to a 4 - (dimethylamino)benzene ring. It has a light yellowish color and a characteristic odor. Padimate is sparingly soluble in water but soluble in many organic solvents like ethanol and ether. It is mainly used as an ingredient in sunscreen products due to its ability to absorb ultraviolet (UV) rays in the UVA range, providing protection against sunburn and related skin damage.
