Water Soluble Sulphur Blue BRN , chemically known as methylene blue, is a synthetic dye. It is a dark blue crystalline solid that is soluble in water and some organic solvents such as ethanol and benzene.

Application:

1. Sulfur Blue BRN is mainly used for dyeing cotton, linen, viscose fibers, vinylon and their fabrics. It is the main color dye for dyeing navy blue and has a bright color.
2. It can also be paired with yellow dye to dye dark gray.
3. Sulfur blue 7 is also used as an indicator. It is commonly used as an indicator in acid-base titration and can change from red to blue at a pH range of 3.0-4.6. It is widely used in chemical analysis and laboratory operations.
