Good water solubility, dissolved in water is yellow to golden yellow solution, if the solution is cooled down, there is flocculent dye precipitation. If 1g dye is dissolved in 50mL water and cooled down to ≤15℃, it becomes frozen, so it is called frozen yellow. Its aqueous solution with concentrated hydrochloric acid has date-red precipitate; with concentrated alkali has golden-orange precipitate; with diluted alkali, there is a slight change in color and light. Slightly soluble in ethanol (lemon color), ethylene glycol ether and acetone (greenish yellow). Reddish-purple in concentrated sulfuric acid, precipitate purple to reddish-blue after dilution. Insoluble in concentrated alkali, white when diluted. Yellow in concentrated ammonia.
