4,4'-[9H - Fluoren - 9 - ylidenebis(4,1 - phenyleneoxy)]bisbenzenamine usually exists as a white to light - yellow solid under normal conditions. Structurally, it has a central 9H - fluorene moiety with two 4 - (4 - aminophenoxy)phenyl groups attached to the 9 - position of the fluorene ring through the 4,1 - phenyleneoxy linkages. Each 4 - (4 - aminophenoxy)phenyl group consists of an amino - substituted benzene ring connected to a phenyl ring via an oxygen atom.
