Product Description:
Chromic potassium sulfate is a dark purple glossy crystal or light purple particle or powder. Dissolved in water, the solution turns purple when cool. Green when hot, insoluble in alcohol. Toxic. It is easy to make large particles crystal. The relative density is 1.826 (25℃). Melting point 89℃. When heated to 100 ° C, 10 crystalline waters are lost, and when heated to 400 ° C, 12 crystalline waters are lost and become anhydrous. Soluble in water, dilute acid, insoluble in alcohol. Soluble in water as a purplish-red solution, heated to 70℃ becomes a green solution, after cooling gradually purple. Moisture absorption, weathering in dry air.

Application: 

(1) Chrome tanning liquor for tannery; (2) Mordant for textile industry; (3) Photographic fixer; (4) Pottery. Used in analytical reagents, also used as water repellent, used in oil drilling and so on.
