Heptafluorodecyl trimethoxysilane has a faster hydrolysis rate and higher efficiency than ethoxysilane. After hydrolysis, low-molecular-weight alcohols are released, and the resulting reactive silanols can react with hydroxyl and carboxyl groups in many inorganic and organic substrates.

The base and oxygen-containing groups form chemical bonds, creating a self-assembling monomolecular fluorosilicon film layer on the surface of inorganic substances. The treated substrate has extremely low surface energy and very poor wettability, and possesses excellent hydrophobic, oleophobic and anti-fouling properties.

Application: 

Application scope: Hydrophobic, oil-repellent and anti-fouling treatment on the surfaces of stone, glass, ceramics, white carbon black, glass fiber, etc.
