Phosphotransacetylase, also known as phosphotransacetylase, is used to determine the titer of coenzyme A. Coenzyme A (CoA) is a nucleic acid compound composed of pantothenic acid mercaptoethylamine, adenosine and phosphoric acid. Because it is easily oxidized, it is usually a mixture of oxidized and reduced. CoA is a coenzyme of acetylase in biological body, which plays the role of transferring acetyl group in the process of material metabolism, and participates in the metabolism of lipids, sugars and proteins. It is mainly used clinically for leukopenia, primary thrombocytopenic purpura, hyperlipidemia and so on. CoA is synthesized by microbial fermentation, and its titer is determined by sulfamide acetylase and phosphate transacetylase (PTA). Different assay methods and different titer expression methods are also different. Now the international common method is PTA method, and the national standard also adopts this method. The titers determined by this method are expressed in reduced CoA units. The principle is that acetyl group is reversibly transferred between acetyl phosphate and reduced CoA under the catalysis of PTA to form acetyl CoA and phosphoric acid.
